Anglo American’s Metallurgical Coal business is based in Australia, and headquartered in Brisbane. We are the world’s third largest exporter of metallurgical coal for steelmaking, and our operations serve customers throughout Asia, Europe and South America.

 

Our operations include two open cut and three underground metallurgical coal mines in Central Queensland’s Bowen Basin, along with additional joint venture interests and projects. We also have significant copper exploration projects underway in Western Queensland and in the South West of Western Australia.
